A major £2m refurbishment of our passenger terminal was completed in February 2006.
This has delivered great facilities and services for our passengers flying to and from over 25 European destinations.
The design and layout gives the airport the capacity to handle 1.5 million passengers a year, with 14 check-in desks and extra baggage reclaim facilities. This combined with an open plan departure lounge, stunning airport shop offering tax free shopping to all passengers, and great eating opportunities gives passengers a relaxed and enjoyable journey through Blackpool International Airport.
Further work planned for 2007/2008 includes plans to extend and redevelop the aircraft parking areas, introduce additional car parking facilities for passengers, and expand and develop retail facilities in the terminal.
