Q. What are the check-in times?

A. Recommended check in times are:
Jet2 & Aer Arann: 2 hours
Other Scheduled Flights: 1 1/2 hours
Holiday & Charter Flights: 3 hours

Check-in usually closes 40 minutes before scheduled departure time.

Q. How much is car parking?

Q. Is there a bus service into Blackpool town centre?

A. A new open top bus service has been launched from Blackpool International to give tourists the complete summer holiday experience. From 29 May to 4 November the Line 1 route will run from a stop at the Air Balloon pub, beside the airport, every 20 minutes from 9.20am until 6pm. An evening service will run every 20 minutes until 11pm from 24 July to 3 September. The bus will take passengers along South Promenade via Pontins, Blackpool town centre, North Promenade, Bispham and Cleveleys passing all the principal hotels in the resort. Line 1 will operate using covered transport during bad weather.

Buses also run frequently into the town centre from Squires Gate Lane (currently Bus Number 7 & 11). Trams run along the promenade if you would like to take the scenic route. For more public transport information see the Where We Are section of the website.

Q. Are there trains to Preston?

A. A sprinter train leaves Squires Gate Lane station every hour directly to Preston station. Squires Gate Station is approximately 5-10minutes walk from the airport. A train ticket can be purchased on the train. For more public transport information see the

Q. I am disabled, is there wheelchair access at the airport and how will I board the plane?

A. The terminal is on ground level and all areas are accessible by wheelchair. To board the aircraft we use a special lift which allows you to remain in your wheelchair. You will then be assisted to your seat. See the website's Travel Advice section for more information

Q. What can I take in my hand luggage?

A. Check the weight allowance that your airline has stated on your confirmation details. A full list of items that can be carried and items that cannot, are available on our website under the
Travel Advice section.

Q. Once we have checked-in can we leave the terminal as we live
close by?

A. For security reasons you must stay in the terminal after you have checked-in.
