Blackpool Airport
Blackpool International Airport is the UK's fastest growing regional airport and expects to handle around 1 million passengers in the next 12 months. As part of this exceptional growth, the airport has restructured its ground handling operations and is creating a new Ground Handling department.
As part of this restructure, there is an exciting and challenging opportunity for someone to head up this new department. This role will require the successful candidate to set up the department and be ready to takeover all ground handling services by the Summer 2007 season.
We are looking for an experienced person with in-depth knowledge of ground services including check-in and passenger handling, ramp handling, load control, despatch and all other aspects of the IATA standard ground handling agreement. The successful candidate will run an efficient, safe and customer focused department whilst at the same time having a keen eye for budgets.
Ideally you will have a minimum four years experience in a commercial ground handling environment or equivalent and at least two years supervisory/management experience. You should also have experience of maintaining budgets and working in a highly regulated environment.
If you would like to take on the challenge and join the team, you can download an application pack below.
